Born and bred in Stellenbosch, Dr Ingrid Kennon continued a family tradition of medicine and finished her medical degree at Stellenbosch University in 2011.
She immediately moved to Cape Town with her husband to do her internship at Groote Schuur Hospital and finished her community service at Stellenbosch Hospital.
She enjoyed the difference she could make in primary healthcare and decided to stay on for nearly 4 years as a Medical Officer, gaining additional experience in emergency care.
After the birth or her son, Ian, she decided to join a general practice in Stellenbosch in 2017. Family practice resonates with her as she gets to help people through their lows and celebrate their highs, from treating the ill, preventative health and right up to celebrating good health.
She now lives in the Southern Suburbs and is excited to be a part of the Bergvliet Family Practice. As a young mother, she understands the importance of taking stewardship of the health and well-being of a family. It would be her honour to be trusted with the health and well being of you and your family.
