Dr Bronwyn Pitman studied at the University of Witwatersrand, completing her degree in 2006. She has always loved the Cape and relocated to Cape Town, where she completed her Internship at Somerset Hospital and her Community Service at Albow Gardens Clinic. As part of her Community Service, she worked night shifts in the Emergency Unit of False Bay Hospital. Dr Pitman realized how much she enjoyed working in the casualty setting and went on to spend over 7 years working at the Mediclinic Constantiaberg Emergency Center. She gained vast experience managing acute injuries and illness in a team, as well as developing an excellent working relationship with the specialists at the hospital.
In 2017 Dr Pitman moved to work part time in her own family practice in Rondebosch where she gained further experience in holistic family medicine. Dr Pitman has a passion for healthcare and loves practicing medicine. She has joined Bergvliet Family Practice which affords her the opportunity to have a balance between doing the things she loves – medicine and being a mum! Her special interests are paediatrics, acute medicine, mental health and women’s health.
